LEED™ Project Certification Endorsement

LEED® Project Certification Endorsement

'LEED®'  is a trademark owned by the U.S. Green Building Council® and is used with permission.

LEED (leadership in energy and environmental design) is an internationally recognized system certifying the greenest performing buildings in the world. LEED is administered by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) on a point scale aimed at improving building performance across a variety of rigorous metrics. LEED is incorporated into mandatory building regulations at the federal, state and local level, as well widely utilized as a voluntary benchmark.

Currently, there are over 5,000 LEED certified commercial buildings and 20,000 more registered to pursue certification. In addition, approximately 6,800 residential units are LEED certified. Demand for LEED certification continues to rise as the costs of integrating energy efficient technologies into the construction process decreases. Fidelity National Title Group supports this important movement towards energy efficient building by offering the

“LEED Project Certification Endorsement.”

The LEED Project Certification Endorsement insures the owner and/or lender of a LEED certified project that all certification prerequisites and required points for certification were met, and that the USGBC granted certification at the level and in the specific certification category indicated. Additionally, extended coverage specifies point totals earned, status of reporting and re-certification requirements, as well as whether there has been any challenge to certification.
